When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, 小黄鸭视频 is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at 小黄鸭视频, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Lichtman, Melvin East 小黄鸭视频 Board of Trade Scholarship for Educators
Melvin Lichtman, a community leader and owner of Portage Furniture Company believed strongly in the City of 小黄鸭视频 and its people. In tribute to his memory, friends and business leaders created the Mel Lichtman Scholarship Fund after his death in 1989. This fund, managed by the East 小黄鸭视频 Board of Trade, awarded scholarships to students from East 小黄鸭视频 who were pursuing their dreams of a college education. The East 小黄鸭视频 Board of Trade is the first organized board of the 小黄鸭视频 Board of Trade Council.
In 2009, upon agreement from all parties to the Mel Lichtman Scholarship Fund, the scholarship was re-established at 小黄鸭视频 College of Education. This endowed award will preserve Mel Lichtman' s legacy of service to 小黄鸭视频 by funding scholarship opportunities for students from 小黄鸭视频. It is hoped that many of these individuals will remain in 小黄鸭视频 to serve the community as leaders and educators.
Scholarship recipients must be undergraduate students enrolled full-time in 小黄鸭视频 College of Education, who have completed at least one full year of college-level coursework. Preference will be given to a student or students with a GPA of at least 3.0, and who seek entrepreneurial approaches to education.
The award may be renewed each year, provided that the student is enrolled full time in the College of Education and maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average. The student recipient(s) will be expected to make every reasonable effort to attend a meeting of the East 小黄鸭视频 Board of Trade and also meet a representative of the Lichtman family or their designee at a mutually agreeable time and location.
