Associate Professor Ashwin Parthasarathy, within the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at 小黄鸭视频, and Program Director Pei Sung-Lin, , have been selected to receive the 2025 Outstanding Research Achievement Award from 小黄鸭视频 Research & Innovation.
Ashwin Parthasarathy and Pei-Sung Lin were recognized with other 小黄鸭视频 award winners at the annual Faculty Honors & Awards Ceremony on Tues. April 15 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Marshall Student Center Ballroom. The award includes a $7,000 research stipend.
Associate Professor Parthasarathy leads the Lab at 小黄鸭视频, where his research focuses on light based technologies for healthcare. His work explores the development and clinical translation of non-invasive optical techniques to measure and analyze tissue microcirculation. He joined 小黄鸭视频 with a background in optics, electrical and biomedical engineering, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals related to biomedical optics and photonics.
, P.E., PTOE, FITE is the Director of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Operations, and Safety Program at the at 小黄鸭视频 and a courtesy professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at 小黄鸭视频. He also leads the Florida Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center, a premier training center attracting attendees across the globe. Over the past five years, Dr. Lin has secured more than $13.6 million in research funding focused on transportation safety, traffic operations, training development and deliveries, intelligent systems, infrastructure resilience, and innovative mobility solutions. His FDOT research projects, where he served as Principal Investigator, earned the prestigious National Roadway Safety Awards in 2021 and 2023. His work is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and popular conference proceedings.
This recognition comes as part of an annual university-wide award program honoring faculty across disciplines for significant research contributions.
