The Judy Genshaft Honors College celebrated the start of the 2023 Fall semester and the opening of its new building on the 小黄鸭视频鈥檚 Tampa campus with a Welcome Home Celebration and Student Lunch on August 18, 2023. Hosted by 小黄鸭视频 President Emerita Judy Genshaft and her husband Steven Greenbaum, Honors students, faculty, and parents enjoyed delicious food, desserts, and refreshments from local food trucks. Honors community members celebrated while listening to live music outside before touring the building's classrooms, creative spaces, cultural studios, and student collaboration spaces.

The Welcome Home Celebration was a successful kickoff to the new semester and the culmination of years of anticipation for the new Honors building for the entire Honors community. 鈥淭he event was a great success,鈥 said Dr. Charles Adams, Judy Genshaft endowed dean of the college. 鈥淭he food was great, the mood was festive, and it was great to see the students and their families so excited for the new academic year. We鈥檙e very grateful to Dr. Genshaft and Mr. Greenbaum for making it all possible!鈥
It was a day of food, smiles, and excitement as Honors community members dream about what鈥檚 possible in the facility. 鈥淭he advancements to be achieved in the new Honors building are up to the imagination and ingenuity of our Honors students,鈥 mused Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Lindy Davidson. 鈥淔rom the sandbox classrooms where student will come together to learn, to the creative studios, the possibilities are truly limitless.鈥
